I’m a multi-disciplinary artist. The context of my practice is rooted in identity and disability politics, which often relates to the many factors that make me who I am.
With my work I seek to interrogate my own understanding of the factors that play a role in our identity, especially the imbalance and lack of rights a disabled person has when living in this day and age. I respond to these topics with urgency using humour and a sense of poetic subversiveness, in ways that allow others to identify and relate to a wider range of experiences, different than their own.
I’m a graduate of Fine Art, who has exhibited widely including solo shows at Attenborough Art Centre (2018) and BBC Leicester (2016); through group shows such as The Full Light of Day, VAE Raleigh USA (2020); THE IDLE INDEX - online (2019); LoveArt - New Walk Museum (2017); Outside In (2016); Shape Open (2012); I have been funded by the publicly funded art sector through Arts Council England, Unlimited, and Attenborough Art Centre and received commissions from Phoenix, Hereward College, and De Montfort University.
